Angel in Inferno is an upcoming visual novel that explores the theme of redemption in a unique way. Created by Japanese solo indie developer Hitosaji and published by Waku Waku Games, the project is currently being developed for Windows (Steam) and is expected to launch later this year exclusively in Japanese.
The narrative centers on four young women who led lives marked by sin. They strike a deal with a fallen angel (visualized as a cloud-like entity with a halo and demonic wings) to be given a second chance at life, only to be instructed to journey back in time and stop their younger selves from committing terrible acts. As the story unfolds, the nature of each character’s sins is gradually revealed, along with the circumstances of their deaths and the inner turmoil they carried. Though it features a charming, pastel aesthetic, the developer cautions that the plot includes scenes of violence, self-harm, and bullying.

The choices you make in Angel in Inferno shape its storyline, leading to eight different possible conclusions. Each playthrough is designed to last approximately an hour, with the game structured for quick replays so you can uncover the hidden truths about each character efficiently.
Angel in Inferno is currently in development for Windows (Steam). No plans for an English localization have been announced at this time.
