In response to overwhelming player interest, Japanese developer FuRyu has revealed that the free demos for ANOMALITH and CRYMELIGHT will remain accessible indefinitely. These demos were initially slated to expire on August 9, but their availability has been extended. As of August 8, ANOMALITH has garnered over 70,000 wishlist entries on Steam, while CRYMELIGHT has accumulated more than 60,000.
The ANOMALITH demo will continue to receive updates informed by player feedback, with the development team releasing a comprehensive update roadmap leading up to the game’s October 28 release. A patch planned for late August will introduce various enhancements, including improved keyboard and mouse controls. This update will include mouse support for multiple UI screens, expanded key binding options, and adjustable mouse sensitivity. A September update is set to introduce a new difficulty mode alongside further improvements based on player input. Additionally, early October will bring more demo refinements, along with the game’s release on PlayStation 5 and Nintendo Switch 2.

Although the CRYMELIGHT demo does not appear to be receiving updates, the developers have shared that they are actively seeking feedback through the game’s official Discord server, and have expressed gratitude to those who have contributed. Unlike ANOMALITH, the CRYMELIGHT demo will have a predetermined end date, though it has not yet been specified.
ANOMALITH is an upcoming survival horror shooter set in an alternate Japan where the Showa era took a different path. Players assume the role of Reona Minazuki, a “Diver” from the government-backed “Anomaly Zone Countermeasures Office.” After gaining mysterious abilities during her first mission in an Anomaly Zone—a naturally occurring hazardous area—Reona becomes the sole survivor. She must now uncover the truth behind her powers, the Anomaly Zones, and locate her missing friend.
CRYMELIGHT is an upcoming roguelite action game and a standalone sequel to FuRyu’s dark CRY bishojo action series, following 2018’s CRYSTAR and 2023’s CRYMACHINA. Set in the afterlife prison of Wonderland, the game centers on an amnesiac girl named Alice, who must participate in the prison’s deadly game to confront the Queen and escape.
ANOMALITH is scheduled to launch on October 28 for Windows (Steam), PlayStation 5, and Nintendo Switch 2. CRYMELIGHT will follow on November 4 for the same platforms. Both games currently offer free demos on Steam.
