Korean publisher NC (formerly known as NCSoft) revealed on April 30 that they will be launching Astrae Oratio, a fresh title crafted by studio Dynamis One. The game’s newly activated official site includes a countdown timer set for May 7, suggesting this is when deeper details about the upcoming game will be shared.
Astrae Oratio was formerly developed under the working title Project AT, characterized as a fantasy subculture RPG focusing on the concepts of “magic” and “administration.” It marks Dynamis One’s latest endeavor following the cancellation of the contentious Project KV, which was intended to be its debut project.
Project KV was initially hinted at in August 2024, with its debut trailer showcased on September 1 of that year. However, it was unexpectedly shelved just a week after the trailer’s release due to criticism over its thematic and visual similarities to Nexon Game’s Blue Archive. The situation was worsened by the fact that numerous Dynamis One staff and creators involved in Project KV were ex-Nexon employees who had previously served as key members of the Blue Archive development team.
Adding to the complexity, after Project KV’s cancellation, the studio faced scrutiny for several alleged infractions, including exposing Nexon’s development data, misappropriation of funds, breaching employment regulations, and planning to disrupt the development of Blue Archive.
Despite the challenges Dynamis One has navigated over the past two years, it was reported in January 2026 that NCSoft would invest in the studio and oversee both domestic and international publishing for the upcoming Project AT. It appears the project is advancing steadily, and fans will be watching closely for further updates following the major announcement on May 7.
