Nexon has revealed its upcoming project, FAREIDOLIA. Formerly known as “Project RX,” the game has now been given its official title, along with fresh details regarding its setting and characters. Please be aware that some of the names and in-game terminology discussed here are not official translations.
FAREIDOLIA is a fresh bishoujo title crafted by Nexon’s IO DIVISION, where players coexist with girls possessing unique abilities in an “isekai”-themed world. The game unfolds in Anima City, a parallel world mirroring Earth closely. Players assume the role of the director at Anima City’s restoration center, while also acting as the caretaker of its central building, Twilight Hall. By living alongside a roster of girls with special abilities, dubbed “Mates,” players will strive to tackle various challenges across Anima City while nurturing relationships.

The lineup of characters unveiled thus far features Minieh, an adventurer driven by the pursuit of ultimate thrills; Ohana, a self-proclaimed prodigy with diverse talents; Shami, a cat-eared girl perpetually struggling with finances; and Elevator Girl, a mysterious individual tasked with operating the elevators at Twilight Hall. The game’s narrative will revolve around their daily lives.

FAREIDOLIA was initially hinted at in October 2024 under the codename Project RX, described as an “immersive 3D anime game.” The project is spearheaded by Min-seo Cha (formerly a producer on Blue Archive), with YutokaMizu, the character designer for Blue Archive, overseeing art direction.
FAREIDOLIA is currently in development for PC, mobile, and consoles. The game is also slated to appear at Nexon’s booth during Tokyo Game Show 2026, where attendees will reportedly have the chance to play the game and engage in activities like rock-paper-scissors with its characters.
