CAPTIVE LOVE♡MELTY HOLIC is an upcoming 2D escape suspense game that explores the darker side of obsessive yandere relationships. Players step into the shoes of Ruito Inukubo, a popular underground idol, who is suddenly abducted by his devoted fans. Now confined to an abandoned structure, Ruito must navigate a treacherous maze of traps, puzzles, and his own fanatical admirers in a desperate bid for freedom.
The gameplay adopts a side-scrolling approach with point-and-click exploration mechanics. You assume control of Ruito as he traverses perilous traps scattered throughout the sealed-off complex, evading the obsessive fangirls, and collecting essential items required to break free.
The game’s official X account has spotlighted three of Ruito’s most intense fans. Himeno, an “enigmatic café girl,” views Ruito as her personal prince. Alice, a former idol who now operates as an influencer, is another fan. Lastly, Luna, a university student, holds the title of Ruito’s longest-standing super fan. Additionally, Kumai, the reserved manager of the idol group HAPPY☆CRAPPERS (of which Ruito is a member), features in the game’s narrative.
