Crafted by indie developer Bulhwa, Channel 453 is an upcoming dark otome experience heading to Steam.
In Channel 453, players step into the shoes of the protagonist who, after settling into a new residence, tunes into the namesake channel on their television, where they encounter the enigmatic figure Liotte. From within the TV screen, Liotte observes and speaks to you, acting as though he has been anticipating your arrival.
The gameplay follows an interactive visual novel structure, where the player’s presence is recognized by the male characters in a meta-narrative approach. The narrative adopts a psychological horror atmosphere, delving into themes of trust, anxiety, obsession, and the essence of “true love.” The creators have also cautioned players about unexpected jump scares.
Channel 453 offers approximately 60 to 90 minutes of gameplay with three distinct endings. This forthcoming title is an enhanced remake of a game jam creation of the same name that was initially released on itch.io.
Channel 453 is set to arrive on Steam shortly. A free demo is also available, providing roughly 30 minutes of gameplay experience.
