Time-management games are gaining traction, with titles such as Chill Pulse and Chill With You: Lo-Fi Story offering soothing soundtracks, built-in task trackers, and virtual companions to keep you company during extended work or study periods. In contrast to these contemporary games, the Japanese cozy title Memory of Memorie: A Chill Story puts a stronger emphasis on narrative, guiding you through a magical adventure alongside a witch in a fantasy realm.
Memory of Memorie: A Chill Story takes place in Elmana Village, a quaint hamlet near the Imperial Capital. As a shadowy force begins to plague the world, you cross paths with Memorie, a witch in training. While you tackle your daily tasks, Memorie dedicates herself to mastering magic—presumably with the goal of protecting everyone she cares about.

The game utilizes a Pomodoro-style timer to monitor your work sessions. Every completed task reveals a new chapter in the story, offering additional conversations with Memorie and altering the magical workspace she occupies. Subtle details, such as a cherished mug and faint green magical glimmers, gradually appear as your bond deepens. These small touches eventually lead to significant plot twists, including a major secret that Memorie seems reluctant to share.

With its Celtic-inspired melodies, ambient soundscapes, unlockable magical abilities, and a determined young witch striving to master the arcane arts, Memory of Memorie: A Chill Story fully embraces its fantasy backdrop.
Created by BeXide, the game is currently in development for Windows and macOS (Steam), alongside Nintendo Switch and Switch 2. A limited free demo is available on Steam now, with progress carrying over to the full version upon release.
