During the digital Fantasia Bunko Grand Thanksgiving Festival 2026, the format and exact date for the anticipated continuation of the franchise were finally revealed. The project titled Date A Live F Last Date will premiere in Japanese cinemas on March 26, 2027, officially serving as the final arc that will conclude the animated adaptation.

Along with the date confirmation, the event presented a first video trailer and a second promotional image focused on this epic finale. The footage comes with the powerful slogan “Now, let’s begin our final war,” setting the tone for the definitive conclusion. The film will be directed by Junji Nishimura at studio Fugaku, with distribution handled by ANIMEC.

The production team brings back key members from previous installments, highlighting the return of screenwriter Fumihiko Shimo and character designer Naoto Nakamura, who worked together on the fourth and fifth seasons of the series. On the voice cast side, the return of the entire main cast is confirmed, led by Nobunaga Shimazaki, Marina Inoue, Misuzu Togashi, Ayana Taketatsu, Iori Nomizu, Asami Sanada, Maaya Uchida, Sarah Emi Bridcutt, Minori Chihara, Ayumi Mano, Hitomi Nabatame, Akari Kageyama, and Aya Endo.

This confirmation ends the uncertainty about the nature of the project that was first hinted at in April 2025. Although the film’s title and animation studio were revealed earlier this year, it was only during this special presentation that it was officially confirmed that the conclusion will arrive in cinemas, promising an impressive visual production to bid farewell to Shido and the spirits.
