In a recent PlayStation State of Play event on September 3, Type Moon Studio BB, the Japanese developer, in collaboration with publisher Aniplex, revealed that Fate/Extra Record will be hitting shelves on January 28. The announcement was accompanied by a fresh trailer showcasing the game’s latest developments.
Fate/Extra Record serves as a remake of Type-Moonβs dungeon crawler RPG Fate/Extra, originally released for the PlayStation Portable back in 2010. The project was first unveiled in 2020 with an initial release window set for 2025. However, after facing several setbacks and the withdrawal of Bandai Namco Entertainment from the distribution agreement, Fate/Extra Record secured Aniplex as its new publishing partner. With Aniplex now at the helm, the game appears poised for its long-awaited debut on January 28.
