Square Enix has revealed that Final Fantasy VII Revelation is set to release on April 8, 2027. The title will be available across PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch 2, and PC platforms, including Steam, the Epic Games Store, and the Microsoft Store for Windows users.
This installment marks the third and final chapter of the Final Fantasy VII Remake trilogy, bringing the epic saga to a close. Developers have emphasized that the game will deliver an unprecedented adventure, scaling to the largest scope ever seen in the series.
Players will have the freedom to traverse the open world aboard the Highwind, with the ability to parachute down to any desired location. The game features a vast, seamlessly connected environment, including the outskirts of Midgar, the verdant island of Mideel, and the ninja homeland of Wutai. Exploration and player choice remain central to the experience.
The battle system, blending real-time action with strategic command selection, has undergone further refinement in this third entry. New playable characters Vincent Valentine and Cid Highwind have been introduced, alongside a fresh job system dubbed Wear and additional abilities that expand gameplay possibilities.
