The imminent climax of one of the franchises most iconic in manga is finally here. The production committee behind the acclaimed animated adaptation of Bleach: Thousand-Year Blood War officially confirmed that the fourth and final part of this massive project, subtitled The Calamity, will consist of a total of ten episodes to definitively close the story of Ichigo Kurosaki on television.

For fans who feared reliving the rushed and controversial ending the original manga had in 2016, there are excellent news. Creator Tite Kubo himself assured that this final stretch will be filled with completely new content. In fact, the author promised that this final stage will integrate many more original scenes than the previous three arcs, massively expanding battles with sequences created exclusively for the anime. Considering that past seasons averaged thirteen episodes, condensing this brutal conclusion into just ten episodes, starting this same July 25 with an episode titled “GOD OF THUNDER,” guarantees uninterrupted action without unnecessary padding.
