FX Senshi Kurumi-chan anime starts with a strong financial warning

Studio Passione adapts the trading manga where ruin looms over the protagonists.

Losing your life’s savings in the stock market isn’t a rosy fantasy, and the new animated adaptation of FX Senshi Kurumi-chan made that clear from its first second on screen. The debut episode started last October 1st with an extremely detailed financial warning about the real risks of currency trading, an unusual move that surprised viewers.

The text shown before the episode begins warns that the story is fiction and reminds viewers that the Forex market involves high risk where losses can often exceed the deposited capital. The notice also emphasizes that excessive trading can ruin people’s daily lives, urging the audience to act cautiously and read all legal documentation carefully before risking money in these high-leverage operations.

The plot closely follows Kurumi Fukuga, a university student who enters the ruthless world of currency exchange to recover the 20 million yen (about 130,000 USD) her late mother lost in the same scheme. Alongside classmates Mochiko Kogane, Mebuki Yamashi, and Yasuko Takane, she must navigate drastic market changes, unrealized losses, and the constant threat of losing everything in an instant.

FX Senshi Kurumi-chan is a manga written by Demunyan and illustrated by Daisuki Tansan. It began as a web publication before moving to print serialization in the magazine Monthly Comic Flapper in February 2021, accumulating at least ten compiled volumes by September 2026. The story blends the psychological pressure of high-risk investments with the drama of a young woman determined to fix her family’s financial fate.

The anime adaptation is by studio Passione under the direction of Yuki Ogawa. Series composition and scripts were handled by Kenta Ihara, while Kazuyuki Ueda designs the characters and Takuro Iga composes the soundtrack. The main voice cast includes Aina Suzuki as Kurumi Fukuga—also voicing the opening theme FX Senshi Kurumi-chan and the ending theme $・¥・€—alongside Asami Seto as Mochiko Kogane, Ayasa Ito as Mebuki Yamashi, and Miho Okasaki as Yasuko Takane.

What do you think about including real financial warnings at the start of an anime focused on trading?
