Following the uproar caused by Laplus Darkness‘ statements on respect boundaries between creators and viewers, Cover Corporation issued an official statement, revealing the streamer was a victim of severe harassment and confirming legal measures.

After investigating and speaking with the content creator, the agency discovered the true trigger of her impulsive social media reaction. The Hololive member had been receiving unsolicited explicit images with genital content sent directly to her accounts, a malicious behavior that had occurred before. This prompted the artist to post a hasty message in a desperate attempt to stop the harassment.

The company made it clear that it will not tolerate any aggression threatening its talents’ safety, calling the sending of such material a prohibited and unacceptable act. They confirmed they will apply strict policies and initiate legal actions with police to find the responsible parties. However, the agency also discussed with the creator how she drafted her complaint, agreeing she will consult with management before posting messages while emotionally upset.

The creator herself shared a new message apologizing for the commotion caused and acknowledging that the helplessness of being harassed by a third party led her to use words that caused misunderstandings. The streamer asked the community to avoid aggressive confrontations and use official channels to report any inappropriate behavior, noting she will address the topic calmly in an upcoming live stream.
