If you’re tired of classic school animes and generic isekais, get ready for a historical journey that promises to shake up the summer season. The production committee of the animated adaptation of Jaadugar: A Witch in Mongolia (known in Japan as Tenmaku no Jadugar) has just released its second promotional trailer. This spectacular preview not only lets us see the incredible art direction characteristic of studio Science SARU, but it also confirms that the series will land on Japanese television on July 4th with a brutal one-hour special episode. And to top it off, the popular band SEKAI NO OWARI will be responsible for performing “Stella”, the opening theme music (opening).

To bring to life the betrayals, relentless politics, and imposing figures of the 13th century, acclaimed director Naoko Yamada spared no expense in the recording booth. To the main cast we already knew (led by Houko Kuwashima as Fatima), legendary voices from the industry have just been added to portray the feared family of Emperor Genghis Khan:
