Money Under the Bed presents a sinister take on the classic query, “What would you do if you suddenly came into a large sum of money?” Crafted by indie developer 011NINE, this forthcoming psychological horror RPG has just launched a complimentary demo for Windows (Steam).
Following your venting about financial woes to an unusual roadside statue, you awaken to discover a jar filled with coins beneath your bed. Your choices regarding this unexpected windfall will shape the narrative and determine which of the five possible endings you’ll experience. You might opt to purchase treats, seek counsel from friends on how to handle the money (each offering distinct perspectives), or decide against spending it altogether.

Every instance you spend the money triggers transformations in your apartment. The building grows darker and more dilapidated, peculiar structures such as giant hands clutching playing cards begin to appear, and unfamiliar occupants replace your known neighbors. Amidst these ethical quandaries and supernatural occurrences (which evoke strong parallels to Silent Hill), you press forward in your quest to uncover the rightful owner of the money.
Money Under the Bed is slated for release in 2027. A free demo is currently available for Windows (Steam).
