Perfect World has disclosed its financial results for the first half of 2026, highlighting that its free-to-play urban RPG, NTE: Neverness to Everness (hereafter NTE), has accumulated over 2 billion Chinese yuan (approximately $298 million USD) in total global revenue.
NTE was first launched in China on April 23, with a worldwide release following on April 29. In the wake of its global debut, Perfect World informed investors that NTE earned more than 100 million yuan in global revenue on the first day. After the release of Version 1.1, both the Chinese and international versions achieved new records for highest single-day revenue on launch day, with the global version generating higher earnings than the Chinese version. Subsequent forecasts from Perfect World’s first-half 2026 earnings indicated that revenue had exceeded 1.4 billion yuan (over $200 million USD) as of June 30.
According to the latest financial report, NTE has surpassed $298 million in total global revenue as of August 18. This signifies an additional $98 million earned over roughly one and a half months since early July. Although the rate of revenue growth has decelerated, the game continues to perform robustly even four months after its launch.

Approximately 60% of the total $298 million in revenue originated from the game’s official platforms worldwide, encompassing the official PC and Android versions. External storefront versions, such as Steam and the Epic Games Store, launched on July 8, yet the disclosed figures suggest that the official platforms still represent a significant portion of the game’s earnings.
Despite NTE’s impressive revenue, Perfect World as a whole reported a loss of about 118 million yuan (around $18 million USD) during the first half of the fiscal year. The company attributed this, in part, to a timing discrepancy in revenue recognition, where NTE’s substantial marketing costs were recorded upfront, while player expenditures are recognized as revenue over an extended period.
In the meantime, NTE’s Version 1.3, titled “Rising from the Moonlit Fog,” was released globally on August 19. The update features a new expansive map with beaches, along with new swimsuit costumes and other summer-themed content. Since the recently disclosed revenue figures do not include earnings from Version 1.3 for the global version, it will be intriguing to observe how this is reflected in future reports.
NTE: Neverness to Everness is available as a free-to-play game on PC (official client/Steam/Epic Games Store/Google Play Games), Mac, PS5, iOS, and Android.
