Since its triumphant debut on April 29, the urban open-world RPG Neverness to Everness (NTE) has achieved remarkable success, with its opening day revenue surpassing 100 million Chinese Yuan (approximately $14.8 million USD). The game’s global earnings in its first month even outpaced its domestic figures. Building on this momentum, publisher Perfect World Games revealed that NTE has generated over 1.4 billion Chinese Yuan ($207 million USD) by June 30. This announcement came on July 14, during the company’s interim earnings forecast for the first half of 2026 (source: China Economic).

The report indicates that a significant portion, over 60%, of NTE’s earnings originated from PC and Android gamers. On other platforms, the title has repeatedly secured spots among the top 5 highest-grossing iOS apps both locally and internationally, and it has also claimed the top spot on the PlayStation Store in regions like Japan.

Despite NTE’s strong performance, Perfect World Games anticipates a gap between its launch-related expenses and the revenue it will bring in during the first half of the fiscal year. This is attributed to the extensive marketing efforts conducted in April, coinciding with the global open beta. The publisher projects a net loss ranging from 80 million to 120 million Chinese Yuan ($12 million to 18 million USD) for the first half of the fiscal year due to this timing discrepancy, though profits from NTE are expected to begin reflecting positively from the third quarter onward.

It’s important to highlight that NTE’s current revenue of 1.4 billion Chinese Yuan accounts for roughly 25% of Perfect World Games’ total gaming division revenue for the fiscal year ending in 2025, which was approximately 5.71 billion Chinese Yuan ($844 million USD). Although the game’s revenue may taper off over time, its current success underscores its significant contribution to the Chinese company’s bottom line.

Neverness to Everness is accessible on Android, iOS, PlayStation 5, and Windows and macOS (available for download via the official website).
