LAM, a freelance Japanese illustrator and former Atlus developer recognized for his contributions to titles like Persona 5 (UI and graphic design) and Fate/Grand Order (concept art), has unveiled a fresh short anime endeavor named DemVAMPS. The series portrays a global conflict where vampires vie for the vacant throne of their kind. At its heart are Lavinia, an enigmatic vampire girl with ambitions for the throne, and Yo, a young boy who becomes her devoted thrall.

Saori Onishi (who voiced Mejiro McQueen in Umamusume: Pretty Derby) will lend her voice to Lavinia, while Makoto Koichi (known for Nurugai in Hell’s Paradise: Jigokuraku) will portray Yo. The project’s announcement video features the song β€œVAMPY,” performed by the female VTuber duo HIMEHINA.

The narrative of DemVAMPS will unfold through sporadically released anime shorts, with LAM taking on multiple roles as original creator, screenwriter, character designer, and chief animation director. Animation production is being managed by HEVN STAGE, a newly formed animation studio.

Further details about DemVAMPS and its characters can be explored on the series’ official webpage and X account.
