During a recent conversation with Famitsu, Nexon Games IO Division head Yongha Kim and deputy-head Min-Seo Cha provided fresh details on their upcoming project, Project RX.

Created by the same team that developed Blue Archive, Project RX is envisioned as an engaging 3D game that delivers a comforting slice-of-life “isekai” experience. Players will have the opportunity to share their world with a group of attractive female characters. While specifics about the gameplay remain limited, a teaser unveiled in December hinted at fantasy-inspired abilities and weaponry, suggesting potential combat mechanics.

In their Famitsu interview, Cha emphasized that Project RX is “a game that delivers a completely new experience compared to Blue Archive,” while remaining cautious about revealing too much. The development team has reportedly completed a playable version of the game, and Kim hinted that a closed-beta test could take place in the “very near future.”

The developers also confirmed that the unique “rock-paper-scissors” minigame featured at Anime Expo 2026’s Project RX booth was built using an early version of the game.

It’s been revealed that Project RX is powered by Unreal Engine 5, and it’s being crafted on a far grander scale than Blue Archive, with Nexon nearly doubling the team size for this endeavor. The game has also been officially confirmed for a console version.

Although Project RX’s release timeline is still unannounced, fans can anticipate more updates through the IO Division’s official X account and YouTube channel.
