Publisher Shueisha Games has revealed plans to accept new game proposals from creators, irrespective of their prior game development background. Those whose proposals are selected will receive backing from the company, which will cover development expenses, provide recruitment assistance, conduct quality assurance, and offer promotional, sales, marketing, and localization support. Essentially, Shueisha Games will act as a full-service publisher, collaborating closely with creators throughout their project’s lifecycle.
Notably, Shueisha Games is particularly inviting proposals from individuals without game development experience. The evaluation of these proposals will be based on three key factors: a distinctive personality that cannot be replicated, a novel concept that has not been previously conceived, and a quality that distinguishes it from similar offerings.

Creatives interested in applying can submit their game proposal along with a portfolio of their previous creative work via the official Shueisha Games website. While these two items are sufficient for submission, proposals for games already in development are also welcome (applicants must include production materials such as the current build, any trailers, specifications, scripts, and setting documents). All application materials can be submitted in either Japanese or English.
It is important to highlight that while the copyrights and other intellectual property rights for the submitted proposals remain with the applicants, Shueisha Games reserves the right to create, sell, or utilize media that may unintentionally resemble the submitted content. Although applicants agree not to claim similarity between Shueisha Games’ media and their proposals, they retain the ability to contest if it appears that Shueisha Games intentionally based its work on the submitted ideas.
