HazeDenki has revealed that its inaugural visual novel, Sister Other Paranoia, will launch on Windows and macOS through Steam on August 15 at 3 AM UTC.
The title was crafted by HazeDenki CEO and Needy Streamer Overload developer nyalra, teamming up with programmer and studio co-founder HAYAO. A number of former Needy Streamer artists have also contributed to the project, such as character designer Ohisashiburi, composer Aiobahn +81, and UI designer Maruino. The plot centers on a somber light novel author who, thanks to his mind-reading talent, isolates himself from society and finds solace in his younger sister, leading to an unhealthy reliance.
Initially unveiled in December 2025, Sister Other Paranoia amassed over 10,000 Steam wishlists within its first day. Although some observers note similarities between its bleak and sorrowful motifs and those in Needy Streamer Overload, nyalra asserts that his latest creation will be far more grotesque and personal now what he’s his own boss. He has characterized the game as a venture where he could “just do what I (he) wanted with my (his) own writing, regardless of sales.”
The launch date follows shortly after HazeDenki unveiled its collaboration with Serenity Forge, a Colorado-based firm that will handle the game’s worldwide distribution. With just about a month remaining until launch, enthusiasts should prepare for Nyalra’s signature tragic narratives.
Sister Other Paranoia is scheduled to debut on August 15 for Windows and macOS (Steam).
