Reincarnating in another world is often the golden ticket to becoming an invincible hero with unique abilities, but few start at the lowest rung of the food chain. The animated adaptation of the manga So What’s Wrong with Getting Reborn as a Goblin? (Tensei Goblin dakedo Shitsumon Aru?) heats up with the release of its new official trailer, promotional image, and confirmation of its TV premiere set for October 5.

The new trailer offered a first look at the opening theme “Hello,” performed by singer Sou. For the ending theme, the production confirmed that the group AHUB will contribute with the song “Chiisana Bokura.” On the technical side, direction is handled by Ryota Kawahara at studio Bakkka, working alongside Yuichiro Momose on scriptwriting and supervision, while Hiroyuki Saita is in charge of character design and Takenoko Boy composes the music.

Adding to the team, the production includes Maika Hosoda for art direction, Naomi Kiyota for color design, Tsukasa Matsui for photography direction, and Yuuji Oka for editing. With these additions, the project is nearing completion for its autumn debut.

Written by Nazuna Miki and illustrated by Tsukasa Araki, the original manga began digital publication on Shueisha’s Tonari no Young Jump platform in February 2020. The series has built a steady readership with fourteen compiled volumes in Japan, with its fifteenth volume scheduled for release on September 17. The story follows an ordinary human who wakes up in a fantasy world as a simple goblin, the weakest creature, forced to use all his cunning to survive in an environment where nearly everything seeks to exterminate him.
