The main duo returns to the romantic battlefield
To ensure the chemistry and frustration feel as real as in the first season we saw early in 2025, the production committee confirmed the return of the story’s two pillars. Their incredible performances make this gem possible, so the seiyuus confirmed for the new episodes are:
- Ryota Iwasaki as Medaka Kuroiwa.
Known for Inasa Yoarashi in My Hero Academia and Toma in WIND BREAKER, showcasing his stoic monk persona. - Yu Serizawa as Mona Kawai.
Recognized for Shera L. Greenwood in How NOT to Summon a Demon Lord and Kaname Arisugawa in TONIKAWA: Over The Moon For You.
Strategic changes in the production team
Studio Synergy SP takes the reins of animation again under director Yoshiaki Okumura, ensuring the visual style and pacing remain faithful to what captivated audiences. However, there’s fresh talent in the office: Yoriko Tomita joins to handle scripts, promising a fresh touch to the story development without losing the essence of Ran Kuze‘s original manga, which has already reached an impressive 24 published volumes.
The staff is further strengthened with new talents in key areas. Shinichiro Nagano takes charge of photography, while Hiroki Matsumoto leads as art director, ensuring Mona’s adorable frustrated expressions and romantic tension moments look better than ever on screen.
