The Forsaken Saintess anime reveals new trailer and July premiere
EMT Squared brings a relaxing isekai about camping, eating well, and traveling in a magical van.
If you’re tired of seeing protagonists reincarnate with absurd powers to massacre demon kings, here’s a well-deserved break. Studio EMT Squared has just released a beautiful trailer for The Forsaken Saintess and Her Foodie Roadtrip in Another World (or Suterare Seijo no Isekai Gohan Tabi), confirming that this super chill isekai will land on our screens in July this year. The preview not only shows the relaxed vibe of the series but also features a snippet of “Butterfly,” the opening by INUWASI, while the ending titled “Holy Sweet Home” will be performed by the group Onkan Lemonade.

New adventurers hop on the magical van
To make road trips and food stops feel less lonely, the production committee assembled a solid cast of seiyuus. Alongside the protagonists we already knew, top-tier voices join that any industry fan will instantly recognize:
- Sora Tokui as Rin Takanashi.
The unmistakable and legendary voice behind Nico Yazawa in Love Live! School Idol Project. - Yuki Ono as Vil.
World-renowned for bringing Josuke Higashikata to life in JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure: Diamond is Unbreakable and Taiga Kagami in Kuroko no Basket. - Sumire Morohoshi as Aria.
Acclaimed for her spectacular work as Emma in The Promised Neverland and Kyoka Izumi in Bungo Stray Dogs. - Shinnosuke Tachibana as Senon.
Famous for stealing hearts as Tomoe in Kamisama Kiss and Morisuke Yaku in Haikyuu!!. - Shoya Chiba as Ed.
The imposing and calculating voice of Kiyotaka Ayanokoji in Classroom of the Elite and Shinei Nouzen in 86: Eighty-Six. - Kaede Hondo as Gomamiso.
Our beloved Elaina in Wandering Witch: The Journey of Elaina and Sakura Minamoto in Zombieland Saga.
Camping away from kingdom politics
Under the direction of Atsushi Nigorikawa, this adaptation of Yoneori‘s light novel aims to deliver pure visual dopamine. The classic trope of “expelled for having a useless skill” is still alive, but here it’s given a truly charming twist. Rin’s skill doesn’t destroy mountains but summons a fully equipped motorhome. Instead of seeking bloody revenge against the arrogant prince who kicked her out, she simply decides it’s time to enjoy life, cook delicious dishes, and camp in fantasy landscapes. Basically, the dream of any millennial office worker brought to animation.
Synopsis of The Forsaken Saintess and Her Foodie Roadtrip in Another World
Rin Takanashi is a single woman in her thirties whose only passion is playing tabletop RPGs and camping alone. Out of nowhere, she is summoned to a fantasy world along with a beautiful high school girl to fulfill the sacred role of “saints.” However, the kingdom’s prince reviews her stats and determines that Rin’s skills, “Motor House” and “Survival,” are useless. After being expelled and left to her own devices, Rin discovers that “Motor House” allows her to summon a luxury camper van. Instead of falling into despair, she decides to turn this apparent accident into an epic and relaxing road trip across this new world, meeting adorable travel companions and preparing delicious food along the way.
Will you give this relaxing gem a chance, or do you prefer the isekai of the season to have pure action?
