The chaotic comedy Millennium Family to get anime adaptation
The original manga by Akira Kasugai will make its TV debut with studio PartsCraft.
Living forever sounds like anyone’s ultimate dream, but sharing a home with six siblings who have endured each other for over a thousand years is a recipe for disaster. The otaku community has a new reason to celebrate, as the official animated adaptation of the acclaimed Millennium Family manga (Odoru Sennen Kazoku), written and illustrated by Akira Kasugai, has been confirmed. The news came with a colorful promotional image and a first video trailer showcasing the chaotic tone of this project.

The story follows the Benfield family, seven immortal siblings who have wandered the world separately for centuries due to an ancient curse. After a long time apart, the seven decide to reunite and live together under one roof, unleashing a cohabitation filled with absurd comedy and daily fights. However, their peace won’t last long, as a mysterious organization interested in stealing their secret to eternal life begins hunting the family, forcing them to unite in frenetic action sequences.
A passionate team behind the animation
Behind the scenes, talented Masato Jinbo will lead the project, not only directing the series but also writing the overall script composition. The animation will be handled by studio PartsCraft, owned by Jinbo himself, with Hiroshi Yoneda leading the character designs. The director promised that the production will hold nothing back, portraying these eccentric siblings in a vivid and bloody way, honoring the frenetic pace of the manga serialized in Young King OURs since 2021.
Voice cast
- Rikuya Yasuda as Theo (Theodore Benfield).
Given that action comedies with bloody touches and chaotic families tend to become the most viral hits of the season if they maintain fluid animation, do you think Millennium Family will become the big surprise of the year or end up overshadowed by industry giants?
