Joining the student council is usually the perfect way to stand out in school, but when you do it just to avoid failing the year and end up surrounded by the campus’s most eccentric peers, school life becomes an absolute comedic disaster. The animated adaptation of the manga Seitokai ni mo Ana wa Aru! (Even the Student Council Has Its Holes!) has released its second official trailer to confirm its TV premiere is scheduled for October 3rd.

The new video trailer features the first listen of the ending theme titled “Pi,” performed by popular singer Akari Nanawo and written by Sho Yamamoto. The artist commented that the song perfectly captures the overflowing personalities of each student council member, playing with an addictive and catchy rhythm. This musical piece will accompany the opening theme “Kaze no Naka wa Hashirukkya Inai,” handled by the music project Sangatsu no Phantasia.

The voice cast includes a star-studded lineup led by Shogo Sakata as the troubled Mizunoe Ume, Haruka Shiraishi as Hisako Kotobuki, Miyu Tomita voicing Komaro Michinoku, Hiyori Kono as Tan Otori, Shizuka Ishigami as Arisu Terui, and Yumi Uchiyama as Satomi Hiratsuka.

Behind the scenes, studio Passione leads the animation under the general direction of Naoyuki Tatsuwa, known for his work on series like Nisekoi and Gourmet Girl Graffiti. Character design and main animation direction are handled by Ryo Imamura, while Masahiro Yokotani oversees and writes the scripts following his acclaimed work on Makeine: Too Many Losing Heroines! and Re:ZERO. The soundtrack is composed by Tomoki Kikuya, backed by a talented group of key animators including Kay Yu, Kona Ming, and Asatoshi Oki.

Written and illustrated by Muchimaro, the original four-panel manga began serialization in Kodansha’s Weekly Shonen Magazine in 2022, achieving recognition by winning first place in the print category at the Next Manga Awards in 2023. The story follows Mizunoe Ume, a high school student with excellent literature grades but poor science performance. To avoid repeating the year, he joins his school’s student council, discovering too late that his peers are a group of lovable crazies with personalities ranging from absolute naivety to hidden perversions.
