The attempt at a quiet retirement for the kingdom’s most talented spy will have to wait longer. Just as the first season aired its ninth episode to close its summer run, Kadokawa surprised fans by confirming that the anime Victoria of Many Faces (Tefuda ga Oome no Victoria) will continue with a second season and a brand-new special episode.

For those who enjoyed the protagonist’s journey, the production announced that surprises don’t end with the regular broadcast’s conclusion. Before diving into the second season and the new special, the series will air a recap episode next Tuesday to revisit key plot moments. The announcement came with a new promotional image thanking fans for their massive support of the main trio.

The adaptation will keep the same team under Studio DEEN. Direction remains with Nobukage Kimura, with Naohiro Fukushima overseeing scripts and Mina Osawa adapting character designs for animation. Musically, the opening theme “Isshin” by Haku and the ending theme “En no Tsuki” by KI_EN set the tone for this first block of episodes.

The voice cast features prominent industry figures. Actress Chika Anzai leads the cast as Victoria, joined by Shion Wakayama as Nonna and Yohei Azakami as Jeffrey. The story also includes performances by Kenji Nojima as Lancome, Daisuke Ono as Edward Asher, Saeko Akiho as Yolana Haynes, Hiroshi Yanaka as Bernard Fitcher, Makoto Furukawa as Zaharo, Kensho Ono as Cedric Ashbury, Ryota Osaka as Conrad Ashbury, and Megumi Han voicing Clark Anderson.

About Victoria of Many Faces

The work originally began in 2021 as a web novel by Syuu, later transitioning to light novels with illustrations by Nanna Fujimi under Kadokawa, and also gaining a manga adaptation by Komo Ushino since 2022. The premise follows Chloe, an elite agent skilled in combat and disguise, who fakes her disappearance after being betrayed by her superior. Seeking an ordinary life under the identity of Victoria in the neighboring kingdom of Ashberry, she soon discovers that escaping trouble is impossible when local conflicts force her to use her deadly old skills while shadows of her past begin to close in.
