Reincarnating as a villainess has never been so fun: Yowaki MAX Reijo anime reveals new trailer
Jumondo adapts the romantic comedy isekai that will air on TV starting October 4.
Try to avoid your tragic fate in an otome game and you’ll end up catching the wrong guy’s attention. The anime adaptation of the romantic comedy isekai Yowaki MAX Reijo nanoni, Ratsuwan Konyakusha-sama no Kake ni Notte Shimatta (Even Though She’s a Timid Young Lady to the Max, She Agreed to Her Shrewd FiancΓ©’s Bet) has released a new trailer, officially announcing its broadcast will begin on October 4.
The new trailer not only gives a glimpse into the chaotic dilemma of its protagonist but also lets us hear the main musical themes for the first time. Singer Konomi Suzuki will perform the opening theme “Goki MAX Sengen,” while voice actress Miku Ito will voice the ending theme titled “Yoake Made ni.” The production also confirmed new voice talents joining the cast, including Haruka Shiraishi as Amelia Keys, Shogo Sakata as Phillip, and Shoya Ishige as Mike.
These voices join a star cast led by Miku Ito as the timid Pia Rockwell and Ryota Osaka as the cunning Rufus Stan. The main cast is completed with Rina Hidaka as Caroline Ramsey, Sora Amamiya as Erin White, Haruki Ishiya as Henry Cox, and Shizuka Ishigami as Rufus’s child version.
The series animation is handled by studio Jumondo under the direction of Nobuaki Nakanishi. Hiroko Fukuda oversees the scripts, while the music is composed by Moe Hyuga and Natsuki Hamada. Hyun Sik Choi adapts the character designs for the screen, supported by Kazuhiro Arai in art direction, Jin Aketagawa in sound direction, and Kunihito Noritomo in photography direction.

Created by Hiro Oda, the story began its digital publication on the Shosetsuka ni Naro portal in January 2020, later moving to print format with illustrations by Tsubasa.v under Kadokawa’s label. The work also has a popular manga adaptation illustrated by Aji Murata on Comic Walker since 2021, totaling over 1.2 million copies across all formats. The plot starts when a college student reincarnates as Pia, a ten-year-old secondary villain in an otome game. Knowing the original game ends with her engagement being canceled and her subsequent exile, the young girl tries to break up with Rufus Stan early. However, her unusual request only arouses the young man’s curiosity, leading him to propose a seven-year bet to see if the wedding will indeed be canceled.
Do you think Pia will break her engagement or end up falling for her fiancΓ© before the seven years pass?
A Japanese legend with plenty of flavor: Yuki-onna anime arrives in October
