Dara-san of Reiwa anime releases second trailer featuring the cutest misfortune goddess
Asahi Production brings the story of the most harmless misfortune goddess in Japanese comedic horror.
A misfortune god that intimidates at first glance but turns out to be quite manageable. If that sounds like the perfect premise for blending horror with comedy, it is. Dara-san of Reiwa released its second trailer confirming its premiere on July 2, 2026, revealing the seasonโs ending and introducing five new cast members that elevate the project.
The second trailer builds on the first, showing more of the dynamic between the Misogiya siblings and the enigmatic Dara-san, reinforcing the seriesโ tone: a mix of eerie atmosphere with moments that lighten everything just established. The ending is titled “Hinatabocchi” and is performed by REIRIE. On premiere day, the anime will first present a special version titled “Reiwa no Jidai ni Daijลbu nano!?” before airing the regular version.

About Dara-san of Reiwa
Dara-san of Reiwa (Reiwa no Dara-san) is a manga by Haruomi Tomotsuka that began in October 2019 as shared illustrations on the creatorโs Twitter account before being compiled into volumes at Comiket. Kadokawa started its digital distribution in ComicWalker in March 2022, with the eighth volume scheduled for June 23. Yen Press publishes the series in English, with the third volume also planned for that date. The story follows two siblings who get lost in a dark, forbidden forest during a storm and encounter a long, sinister shadow that turns out to be Dara-san, a misfortune goddess with a terrifying appearance who is much less intimidating once you get to know her. The series plays with the tension between visual horror and the humor that arises from living with a supernatural being that isnโt as scary as it should be.
