The new trailer for the second season of From Old Country Bumpkin to Master Swordsman confirms the return of this middle-aged swordsman who can’t stop being the best no matter how hard he tries, with a scheduled release in July 2026. The video opens with a quiet moment of Beryl greeting those around him before cutting to combat sequences that make it clear this season will raise the intensity.

This trailer also serves as an introduction to its main themes: the band Unicorn will handle the opening titled “Kurenai no Ha”, while the group BLUE ENCOUNT will bring the adrenaline in the ending with “Mikansei”.

This franchise began as fantasy light novels written by Shigeru Sagazaki and illustrated by Tetsuhiro Nabeshima.
