The movie shares its title with the fifteenth and final volume of the original light novel, indicating its pivotal role in the franchise’s narrative.

The trailer showcases emotional moments and character interactions while previewing the new theme song, complementing the work of the franchise’s usual composer, fox capture plan, who returns for this installment. The trailer positions the movie as a chapter moving the story toward its final stretch, with the full cast returning to their roles.

Rascal Does Not Dream is a franchise based on Hajime Kamoshida‘s light novel series, which has sold over three million copies. The first anime adaptation aired in October 2018, followed by the movie Rascal Does Not Dream of a Dreaming Girl in June 2019.
