The Salty Koharu Has a Soft Spot for Me revealed its first trailer, a new promotional image, and new cast members, confirming its premiere for October 2026. Additionally, an early screening on September 20 at Shinjuku Piccadilly with cast attendance was announced.

The first video offers a glimpse into the series’ tone and interactions between Sota Oshio and Koharu Sato, highlighting the light tone of a first-love story between two people harboring unspoken feelings for each other. The new promotional image accompanies the video, featuring the main characters.

The Salty Koharu Has a Soft Spot for Me (Shiotaio no Sato-san ga Ore ni Dake Amai) is a light novel by Kazami Sawatari with illustrations by Aitiki, published under Shogakukan’s Gagaga Bunko since 2019, with twelve volumes released by August 2025. The manga adaptation by Kaya Tetsuyama has been running since May 2020. The story follows Sota Oshio, a café employee, who discovers that his classmate Koharu Sato, known for her cold attitude, is actually just shy and awkward socially.
