Having a completely broken skill is any fantasy protagonist’s dream, but connecting to the internet in a medieval world is taking it to another level. The animated adaptation of the light novels Sekai Saikyo no Majo, Hajimemashita (The World’s Strongest Witch) released a new promotional trailer and visual image, officially confirming its premiere for October 2026.

The new trailer offers a deeper look at the wild adventures of Lorna Hermit, a young woman who, after being kicked out of her home, awakens an SSS-ranked ability called “Internet.” This unique power allows her to consult an online strategy guide that no one else has access to, granting her exact knowledge to obtain rare items, master the most powerful equipment, and live freely without worrying about traditional dangers.

Alongside the promotional video, the musical themes that will accompany the series within the anime industry were revealed. The group HoneyWorks in collaboration with HaKoniwalily will perform the opening theme titled “Eikyoryoku∞Idol,” while the ending theme will be handled by Rokudenashi with the song “Hoshi o Muguru.”

Behind this quirky production are the studios Bridge and Aisle, with direction by Joji Furuta. The script and series composition are handled by Shoji Yonemura, while character design was adapted by Yuki Morimoto. The music will be composed by Arisa Okehazama and Ryoshi Takagi, ensuring a soundtrack fitting the battles and comedic moments of the series.

About Sekai Saikyo no Majo, Hajimemashita

Written by Mochimaru Sakaki with illustrations by diritto, the light novel began serialization on the website Shosetsuka ni Naro in May 2022. It was later acquired by publisher Square Enix, publishing its first printed volume in December of that year. Thanks to its fun mix of comedy and game elements, the work received a manga adaptation illustrated by Tamaki Toga in May 2023, becoming a must-read for fans of light fantasy.

With a protagonist capable of consulting a cheat guide online in a magical world, do you think this cheating ability will make Lorna one of the most powerful and entertaining characters of the fall season?
