Following over two months of server downtime and a lack of updates on its official channels, Snowbreak: Containment Zone is set to return to action starting May 8 at 6 AM UTC. To make up for the extended hiatus, both veteran and new players will receive a generous selection of in-game bonuses.

Alongside these compensation rewards, developers recently disclosed that an additional 50 Special time-limited Manifestation Echo Covenants and 50 Weapon Modding Agreements will be added. These items can only be used on the current Winds of Warmth event character and weapon banners.

The scheduled server maintenance for Snowbreak: Containment Zone, its longest pause to date, began at 3:59 PM UTC on March 2. Developers noted that the maintenance might extend due to a β€œlarge amount of data involved,” but they assured players of substantial in-game rewards and a separate announcement regarding the server relaunch time.

Seasun Games, the game’s developer, has not provided an official explanation for the unusually long server downtime. However, speculation suggests it may be linked to the cancellation of a collaboration event with China Post, which was announced around the same time as the server maintenance. The intended partnership with the public institution faced backlash over the game’s provocative content. Under public scrutiny, the collaboration was ultimately scrapped.

Although there is no official confirmation connecting Snowbreak: Containment Zone’s server issues to its cancelled China Post collab, it appears that players are simply relieved to be able to enjoy their favorite waifu gacha game once more.
