A trio of voices to brighten our days

For a slice-of-life anime to work, the chemistry between its protagonists must feel incredibly natural. Fortunately, the production committee did its homework and selected a trio of seiyuus who perfectly convey the vibe of high school friendship without forcing it:

  • Yuto Takenaka as Araki.
An emerging acting talent who promises to deliver a very honest and fresh performance in this leading role.
  • Nene Hieda as Stella.
Known for voicing Douki-chan in Ganbare Douki-chan and Yashiro Momoka in Gundam Build Divers.
  • Haruka Sato as Olga.
Known for her involvement in the idol project 22/7 as Miyako Kouno, bringing all her charisma to the group.

Doga Kobo’s guarantee to heal the soul

Behind this gem is director Tarou Iwasaki, working alongside Yoriko Tomita on the scripts. Having this pair backed by Doga Kobo’s high visual quality is basically a seal of guarantee for a well-crafted, light, and tender comedy. Additionally, it’s confirmed that the series will run for a single cours (around 13 episodes), delivering a compact story without unnecessary padding.

For those closely following the industry, a curious fact: this work didn’t come out of nowhere. The original story by Hajime Shinagawa was the winner in the “Kids/Game” category of the Project Anima 2019 competition, becoming the third franchise from this prestigious contest to make the leap to television animation.

Mebius Dust Synopsis

The story invites us to follow the calm and warm days of three inseparable high school friends: Araki, Stella, and Olga. Living in a picturesque downtown neighborhood, the trio spends their youth navigating everyday situations anyone could experience. However, behind the laughter, afternoons of strolling, and the apparent normalcy of their surroundings, there’s a layer of mystery and hidden depth in their daily lives. It’s a tale about unbreakable bonds of friendship, the small miracles of urban life, and the silent secrets hiding in plain sight.

Will you give this slice-of-life a chance, or prefer to jump straight into the summer’s action-packed premieres?
