It’s notable that a member of Unison Square Garden wrote the opening for a virtual band anime. BanG Dream! Yume∞Mita, focused on the virtual band Mugendai Mewtype (also known as YumeMita), released its second trailer revealing the clean opening sequence, the main visual, and the accompanying theme, with a confirmed release on July 2, 2026.

The opening theme is “Kore wa Boku-tachi no Seizon no Arasuji” (Our Survival Strategy) and is performed by Mugendai Mewtype. The song was written by Tomoya Tabuchi of Unison Square Garden, a collaboration linking BanG Dream! to one of Japan’s most recognized rock bands outside the idol scene. The new trailer presents the final opening animation without overlaid credits, offering the clearest look yet at the series’ visual style and tone.

Mugendai Mewtype features Arale Nakamachi as lead vocalist, Nonoka Miyanaga and Ritsu Minetsuki on guitar, Miyako Fuji on keyboard, and Yuno Sengoku as DJ and group manipulator. The anime will debut with its first three episodes on launch day, giving audiences a more substantial start than usual.

Direction is handled by Tomomi Umetsu at NICHICALINE, with Hiroshi Morita as assistant director. Midori Goto oversees scripts alongside Akiko Waba, Yotsuji Haibuchi, and Hitomi Ogawa. Character design is by Osamu Nobusawa and Mochipuyo, while PHYZ produces the series’ music.
