Breaking ties with family is never easy, but when coexistence becomes a nightmare, distance is the only option for survival. Popular Japanese streamer Beamori Yurumo, formerly a VTuber, made headlines again after revealing she formally initiated legal procedures to separate her family registration and completely cut ties with her parents, whom she directly labeled extremely toxic individuals.

Through her social media, Yurumo shared a photo of the official form submitted to the local city hall, showing the start of the procedure known in Japan as family registration separation. Legally, this process doesn’t fully nullify biological ties or inheritance rights, but it allows any citizen over 18 to open an independent registration without parental consent or further family notifications.

The content creator’s decision wasn’t sudden. In recent streams, the 28-year-old shared the painful experiences from her youth before achieving independence, revealing extreme situations like the day her mother served her detergent-contaminated rice. She also showed her physical transformation, explaining that after leaving home, she endured highly exhausting jobs that caused drastic weight loss due to stress before achieving the emotional and professional stability she enjoys today.

Despite the bitter background and abuse endured, the streamer accompanied the photo of her paperwork with a thank you message to her parents for giving her life, marking a definitive end to this chapter while she focuses on managing her new themed café, Cross Noire, which she produces and manages.

Beamori Yurumo is a Japanese content creator and streamer who began her live streaming career in 2020. Later, she joined the ZERO Project collective using a virtual avatar, before deciding in August 2024 to retire from VTuber activities to show her face on camera and continue her career as an independent streamer.
