Cygames, the studio behind Umamusume: Pretty Derby and Granblue Fantasy, introduced its new development initiative, CygamesEdge, on September 3. The brand also revealed a trailer for its inaugural project, Where the Seeds Fall, scheduled for release on November 5.
CygamesEdge is a venture focused on small-to-mid scale game development, aiming to produce titles at a rapid pace while expanding its expertise in game production.
The first game under this brand, Where the Seeds Fall, is billed as a “dramatic collapse action adventure.” Players will journey down the World Tree, humanity’s sole sanctuary from a destructive force known as the Blight. The narrative centers on a soldier who meets a “fell child,” a harbinger of doom, and resolves to guide them to the surface world.
The main storyline is expected to last around 3 hours, delivering a concise yet gripping experience. Beyond the core campaign, the game features challenging maps and additional modes, such as a time trial.
Where the Seeds Fall will launch on November 5 for PC (Steam), PlayStation5, and Nintendo Switch 2, with support for Japanese, English, Chinese (Simplified), Chinese (Traditional), and Korean.
