Conan Edogawa and Magical Girls? Detective Conan Confirms Crossover with Precure
Conan Edogawa and magical girls will solve mysteries together in two special episodes.
Japan just said “hold my drink” to the multiverse madness. To celebrate its thirtieth anniversary, the evergreen Detective Conan franchise (yes, the one airing since 1996) announced an unexpected collaboration. The young detective in a blue suit will team up with the heroines of Star Detective Precure! in a double crossover event airing soon, set to thrill fans of both series.

Magical Girls Welcome the Legend of Beika
The first part of this unusual crossover occurs in episode 18 of Star Detective Precure!, titled “Meitantei no Assemble” (Great Detectives United!), airing on May 31. Here, protagonists Anna and Mikuru try to find a stolen valuable artwork. Coincidentally, Conan Edogawa, Ran Mori, and the ever-clueless Kogoro Mori are visiting Makoto Mirai’s village. Both teams will cross paths to team up and defeat the infamous Phantom Thieves.

Cure Answer Returns the Favor in Conan’s Territory
The fan service continues. The rematch happens on June 6 in Detective Conan‘s episode “Hanamaru na Answer,” bringing Cure Answer to Beika city. The plot revolves around a bold jewel theft spree exciting young Ayumi, as it reminds her of her favorite Precure anime (yes, magical girls are an anime within Conan’s world). While the Junior Detective League guards a jewelry store, the situation takes a strange turn, leaving Ayumi with a bad feeling.
Pairing a titan solving murders for three decades with a Precure series that just debuted in February is a masterstroke. It gives veterans a dose of magic and introduces new generations to Japan’s undisputed mystery king, all without disrupting your weekly episode routine.
Do you think this is the weirdest crossover of the year or can’t wait to see how Conan and Precure interact on screen?
