In preparation for its upcoming shareholders’ meeting on June 18, Capcom has recently refreshed its console game sales data for the fiscal year concluding March 2026. According to Game*Spark, while titles such as Resident Evil Village, Resident Evil 7: Biohazard, and Street Fighter 6 all saw increased sales compared to the prior fiscal year, Devil May Cry 5 achieved a remarkable milestone by hitting its highest annual sales ever, seven years post-launch.

Upon its debut in March 2019, Devil May Cry 5 moved approximately 2.1 million units. Its next strongest sales period was the fiscal year ending March 2023, during which it sold an additional 2.1 million copies. The game then reached a new peak, selling 2.7 million copies in the fiscal year ending March 2026. This surge in sales can be attributed to the launch of the Netflix animated series, various time-limited franchise discounts, and the intriguing promise of unconventional pizza adventures. By March 2026, Devil May Cry 5 had累计 sold 12.9 million copies, making it Capcom’s top-selling title outside of the Monster Hunter and Resident Evil series.
Although details on a new Devil May Cry installment remain scarce, the arrival of Devil May Cry 5: Devil Hunter Edition on the Nintendo Switch 2 is expected to introduce Dante and his allies to a fresh audience before Capcom unveils the franchise’s next chapter.
Devil May Cry 5 is currently available on PlayStation 4 and 5, Xbox One and Series X|S, and Windows (Steam). A Nintendo Switch 2 version encompassing all prior content is slated for release on June 23, 2026.
