In preparation for its upcoming shareholders’ meeting on June 18, Capcom has recently refreshed its console game sales data for the fiscal year concluding March 2026. As noted by Game*Spark, popular titles such as Resident Evil Village, Resident Evil 7: Biohazard, and Street Fighter 6 all achieved higher sales compared to the prior fiscal year. Notably, Devil May Cry 5 set a new annual sales record, marking its seventh year since launch.

Upon its March 2019 release, Devil May Cry 5 moved approximately 2.1 million units. Its next strongest sales period was the fiscal year ending March 2023, during which it sold another 2.1 million copies. The game then hit its peak with 2.7 million copies sold in the fiscal year ending March 2026. This surge in sales can be attributed to the launch of the Netflix animated series, exclusive franchise discounts, and the intriguing promise of wacky woohoo pizza adventures. By March 2026, Devil May Cry 5 had累计 sold 12.9 million copies, making it Capcom’s top-selling title outside the Monster Hunter and Resident Evil series.

Although details on a new Devil May Cry installment remain scarce, the arrival of Devil May Cry 5: Devil Hunter Edition on the Nintendo Switch 2 is expected to attract more players to Dante and his crew’s distinctive demon-slaying antics before Capcom unveils the franchise’s next chapter.

Devil May Cry 5 is accessible on PlayStation 4 and 5, Xbox One and Series X|S, and Windows (Steam). A Nintendo Switch 2 version, including all prior content, is scheduled for release on June 23, 2026.
