MAPPA confirms it will produce the anime of Fall in Love, You False Angels
MAPPA reveals the team behind the adaptation of the manga winner of the 2025 Kodansha Manga Award.
The 15th anniversary event of MAPPA kept delivering announcements, and this was one of the most anticipated from the shojo side: the studio confirmed it will handle the anime adaptation of Fall in Love, You False Angels, the manga by Coco Uzuki that won the 2025 Kodansha Manga Award. The announcement came with a teaser revealing the full production team, though the video was made private shortly after its release.

Director Yasutomo Okamoto is at the helm, with Mariko Oka designing the characters and Yohei Yamazaki supervising the scripts. The rest of the team includes Takumi Hashimoto as art director, Kana Tanabe as key color artist, and Yuriko Waki as animation producer. This is the first major update on the project since its initial reveal, confirming MAPPA is managing development with a defined team ahead of the 2027 premiere.
