As the July 9 launch of Granblue Fantasy: Relink – Endless Ragnarok draws near, Cygames has rolled out a complimentary demo to give fans a sneak peek at the upcoming expansion. This trial version features an introductory segment of the main narrative, four playable quests, and introduces Seofon as a playable character.

The Story Mode is a standout addition, offering a glimpse into the events that unfold after the conclusion of the primary campaign. Completing this mode allows players to claim in-game rewards upon purchasing the full game, irrespective of whether they opt for the Endless Ragnarok DLC (note that demo rewards are only redeemable after the expansion launches on July 9). However, progress made in the demo’s story cannot be transferred to the full version.

Quest Mode makes a return from the beta phase, complete with full crossplay support and four playable quests. Finishing the initial three quests unlocks the final quest, Sephira’s Sanguine Glimmer, which introduces the new Summon mechanic. Just like the Story Mode, completing each quest grants rewards in the full game. Additionally, players can access Seofon and Beatrice, the latter of which was available during the Closed Beta Test (CBT) in March.

Building on feedback from the CBT, the developers have implemented several adjustments. Co-op matchmaking issues have been addressed, and the Aquila Ruby Golem (the final boss in the Sephira’s Sanguine Glimmer quest) now has reduced health and attack power.

Finally, Tutorial Mode returns from the CBT, offering a refresher for returning players and a beginner’s guide for newcomers. This mode covers the fundamentals of exploration and combat, making it a valuable starting point for all players.

Granblue Fantasy: Relink is currently available on PlayStation 4 and 5, and Windows (Steam). The Endless Ragnarok expansion is scheduled for release on July 9 across the aforementioned platforms, with a Nintendo Switch 2 version also launching on the same day.
