Kaiju Girl Caramelise anime reveals opening and ending in new trailer
LIDEN FILMS brings the story of first love with kaiju consequences on July 2.
7 June 2026
Falling in love for the first time can shake the entire world. For Kuroe Akaishi, it does so quite literally. Kaiju Girl Caramelise has released its second trailer, confirming its premiere on July 2, 2026, revealing both the opening and ending themes for the season while offering a broader look at the tone of this story where shojo romance blends with something much larger and monstrous.

The opening is titled “Otome Kaijลซ” and is performed by METANICK. The ending “Otome no Honki” is performed by HoneyWorks feat. HaKoniwalily, a name well-known in the shojo anime community for their history of emotional themes in romance series. The trailer shows more of the dynamic between Kuroe and Arata Minami, the popular boy she falls for, heightening the tension between the protagonistโs feelings and the powers those feelings awaken in her.

About Kaiju Girl Caramelise
Kaiju Girl Caramelise (Otome Kaijลซ Carameliser) is a manga by Spica Aoki, published in Kadokawaโs Monthly Comic Alive since 2018, with over 230,000 copies in circulation and its tenth volume scheduled for July 22. Yen Press publishes the series in English. The story follows Kuroe Akaishi, a high school girl who has avoided social contact for years due to a mysterious condition that makes connecting with others difficult. Everything changes when she falls in love with Arata Minami, the most popular boy in her class, and that first love awakens a dormant power within her: the ability to transform into a kaiju when her emotions run wild. What starts as a story of first love becomes a constant battle between heart and reason, with consequences far beyond the ordinary.
Does the kaiju twist in shojo romance seem like an original hook, or would you prefer the series leaned more toward one of the two genres?
