The agency of seiyuu Maaya Uchida will take legal action over false rumors
I’m Enterprise will initiate lawsuits and request data from those who defame the actress.
Spreading unfounded rumors online for engagement may seem like a fun game to some, but legal consequences in Japan’s entertainment industry are becoming increasingly severe. The talent agency I’m Enterprise issued an official statement on Friday, October 2, to stop defamatory posts that have recently circulated on social media against the renowned voice actress and singer Maaya Uchida.

In the statement, the agency confirmed the presence of multiple posts with baseless claims, accompanied by speculation and hate comments built from these fabrications. The company firmly stated that none of the accusations or stories circulating online have any real basis, warning that this type of harassment violates the honor and privacy of not only the artist but also those close to her professional environment, severely affecting her physical and emotional well-being.
As a response, I’m Enterprise announced it is working with legal advisors to document and track each offensive post. The company will initiate a strong legal process that includes police complaints, formal requests to remove defamatory content from platforms, lawsuits to reveal the identities of anonymous users, and legal actions to demand financial compensation for damages. The agency also urged the public not to believe these fabrications and to refrain from sharing, copying, or spreading any rumors related to the actress.

Maaya Uchida is a prominent Japanese voice actress and singer born on December 27, 1989, in Tokyo. Affiliated with I’m Enterprise since the start of her professional career in 2010, Uchida has established herself as one of the most beloved and talented figures in the industry, achieving great success in voice acting and her solo music career.
