Accomplished manga editor Shihei Lin revealed on April 17 that his firm Mix Green has created a new manga editorial division and is now welcoming submissions from creators. Manga series will be released through a fresh platform which is currently being developed.

Throughout his sixteen-year tenure at Shueisha, Lin worked in the editorial teams of Monthly Shonen Jump, Jump Square and Shonen Jump+. Following his departure from the publisher in August 2022, he transitioned to freelance work and founded his own enterprise, Mix Green. He’s recognized for serving as the editor responsible for multiple popular manga titles, such as Chainsaw Man, Spy x Family and Dandadan, and has additionally participated in overseeing and creating anime adaptations.

Although Lin has kept working as a Shonen Jump+ editor and stayed responsible for the previously mentioned manga series after leaving Shueisha, it appears his company is now prepared to begin publishing on its own. Information about the new publishing venture, including its title, stays confidential at present, however Lin stresses that the initiative has no ties to Shueisha or Jump+. This development has generated enthusiasm among manga enthusiasts and sparked rumors regarding whether Chainsaw Man creator Tatsuki Fujimoto could be participating, considering the manga’s recent finale.
