Nihon Falcom has unveiled its consolidated financial results for the initial half of the fiscal year concluding September 2026. The report indicates substantial year-on-year growth across all sectors, with revenue climbing by 153.9% and operating profit surging by 1227.4%.
The primary driver behind these numbers was Nihon Falcom’s licensing arm, which encompasses revenue from global game distributions. Sales in this area saw a 194.8% year-on-year increase, fueled by the sales of Trails in the Sky 1st Chapter. Launched concurrently worldwide last September, the full 3D remake of Trails’ inaugural mainline title has proven to be a significant triumph for Nihon Falcom in both critical acclaim and commercial performance, emerging as their top-performing Steam release to date.

Capitalizing on this positive trend, Nihon Falcom has substantially adjusted its earnings forecast for the entire fiscal year. Although the company was initially cautious in its projections due to the unpredictability of Kyoto Xanadu’s sales (set to launch on July 16), it has since implemented revisions to reflect a 38.4% rise in revenue and a 69.2% rise in operating profit compared to prior forecasts. These enhanced figures are similarly credited to the enduring success of Trails in the Sky 1st Chapter.
In addition to Kyoto Xanadu, Nihon Falcom has scheduled the release of Trails in the Sky 2nd Chapter during the second half of the fiscal year, with a simultaneous worldwide launch planned for September 17 on PC (Steam), PS5, and Nintendo Switch platforms.
