Japanese bishojo game developer Yuzusoft revealed on August 7 that its enchanting adult visual novel, Sabbat of the Witch, has surpassed the 500,000 sales mark. The game, which launched on PC back in 2015, reached this impressive milestone after 11 years on the market.

Sabbat of the Witch centers on Hoshina Shuuji, a young man with an uncanny ability to perceive the emotions of those around him. One fateful day, he uncovers the truth about his classmate, Ayachi Nene—a witch who suffers from sudden waves of arousal due to a magical pact. Their peculiar first encounter draws them closer, leading Hoshina and Nene to explore their bond and the mysterious world of witchcraft. Along their journey, they cross paths with other witches and ordinary humans, many of whom attend the same school.

Although the original visual novel carries an 18+ rating and includes mature content, the base Steam edition released in 2018 is suitable for all audiences. A free 18+ Adult Only Patch is available as DLC for players seeking the game’s original experience. Sabbat of the Witch currently enjoys a “Very Positive” score on Steam, backed by over 2,000 reviews that commend its narrative, artwork, and soundtrack. A full HD edition with Simplified and Traditional Chinese, along with Japanese language support, was introduced in 2023 for certain regions. Following this update, Sabbat of the Witch sold an additional 200,000 copies, becoming the primary force behind its recent sales surge. Review data suggests the game has gained significant traction among Chinese-speaking gamers in recent times.

Sabbat of the Witch can be obtained in its original version from the Yuzusoft website (NSFW), as well as on Steam.
