Honey ∞ Parade Games has unveiled fresh gameplay footage for its upcoming live-service RPG, Shinobi Nexus: Senran Kagura. The latest trailer features a brief story prologue that introduces newcomers Benihime, Kira, and Inori, alongside showcasing students from the game’s three distinct schools. Developers have also confirmed a November livestream that will delve deeper into Shinobi Nexus’ live gameplay mechanics.
Shinobi Nexus: Senran Kagura is a command-based RPG set three years after the events of Senran Kagura: New Link, the turn-based card battler that wrapped up its narrative in 2025. Players assume the role of a teacher guiding ninja students to hone their shinobi skills. This involves leading them through rigorous training sessions and helping refine their abilities, all while fostering stronger bonds along the way.
As a Senran Kagura installment, the game includes the signature Dressing Room mode, allowing you to customize your party members with various costumes and accessories. Additionally, a diorama mode lets you craft custom scenes with your characters using diverse backgrounds, poses, and expressions. Combat follows a turn-based structure, where your shinobi deploy ninja arts and skills to outmaneuver rival students.
Shinobi Nexus: Senran Kagura brings together three all-girls ninja schools:
Hebijo Clandestine Girls’ Academy is renowned for training evil shinobi, featuring newcomers like Benihime, Kagami, Nagi, Komomo, and Hibiki.
Gessen Girls’ Academy is a prestigious institution attended by shinobi from renowned families. Characters from Senran Kagura: New Link, such as half-sisters Gekko and Senko, are part of this academy. Newcomers Kira, Hirasaka, and Kuon also join the roster here.
Kiritsu Tensho Academy is a new school that upholds the principle of non-discriminatory education. Its student body includes newcomers Inori, Touka, Sara, Aizen, and Hagiri.
Character designs for Shinobi Nexus are crafted by Minami Yaegashi, a veteran of the Senran Kagura series. Beyond the main narrative, each girl will have her own personal story arc, ensuring her moment in the spotlight.
Shinobi Nexus: Senran Kagura is slated for release in 2026 on Windows, Android, and iOS. Currently, only a Japanese version has been confirmed. Further details can be found on the game’s official webpage.
