Silver Wolf pillow cases stolen in Japan
A box of Silver Wolf pillow cases was stolen during Comiket 108.
The crime spares no one, not even Japan’s most sacred doujin events. During the 108th edition of the Comic Market (Comiket 108) at the famous Tokyo Big Sight venue, the renowned illustrator Shirorokitsune reported the overnight theft of a full box loaded with dakimakura pillow cases featuring Silver Wolf, the iconic hacker from the game Honkai: Star Rail.

The theft occurred between the night of August 15 and the morning of August 16. The artist and members of his circle had left the merchandise secured inside the pavilion after finishing setup around 7:00 p.m., when the venue closed. Upon returning the next morning at 7:30 a.m. to begin public sales, they horrifyingly discovered that the large box of Silver Wolf cases had vanished. After notifying Comiket organizers, Japanese police arrived to conduct inspections and launch a formal theft investigation.

With no suspects identified and the exact number of stolen units unknown, the illustrator asked fans for support to prevent fueling the black market. Given the high likelihood of Honkai: Star Rail cases being resold at inflated prices on auction and second-hand online platforms, the circle advised extreme caution and ignoring any suspicious products, inviting buyers to purchase merchandise safely through their official online store.
As police investigate security at Tokyo Big Sight to find the culprit, do you think Comiket organizers should strengthen overnight surveillance in pavilions to protect independent creators’ work?
